Zip up your digital lederhosen—we’re off to Munich for a three-day techy tour!

A handful of Scottish technology companies are jetting off to Bavaria this week, and you’ll never guess Yodelayhee-who’ll be among them (that’s us!). Led by Scotland’s Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy, Paul Wheelhouse, the delegation also includes chief executives from Machines with Vision, Sunamp, and Epipole as well as partners from the Scottish tech community including Informatics Ventures, Scottish Edge, WeAreTheFuture, and Women’s Enterprise Scotland.

As you may have read over the weekend on BBC and The Scotsman, this tech mission aims to “strengthen links between Scotland and Germany, boost economic benefit for the Scottish technology sector and to further internationalise Scotland’s economy”. What that means for us is a host of exciting meet-ups with senior executives from IBM Watson, BMW, BayStartup plus visits to Munich Technical University, Munich Technology Centre, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, and of course dinner at the Spatenhaus—we’ll take a double order of Krustenbraten thank you very much! (ehem—that’s “danke schoen”)

“Companies like ours who are eyeing international growth see Germany and Bavaria as important territories so I’m really excited about the opportunity to build relationships that I’m sure will lead to business activity for MadeBrave.” – Andrew Dobbie, Founding Director of MadeBrave.

Pssst… down here! The hills are alive with the sound of Munich, and we’re taking you along! Make sure to keep an eye on Instagram Stories for a ride along with Andrew himself.
