Blood, sweat and (broken) gears – we pedalled for Scotland, and what a day it was!
After all the training (Oculus Rift included), designing (we were the creative partners, after all) and building a tweet powered bike (yep, you read it right) the day finally arrived, and although our buns are on fire (stairs are a big no-no today) we’re still buzzin’ with excitement from the MadeBrave® Team Challenge! We’ve been shouting about our partnership with Pedal for Scotland over the last few months, and needless to say, it was even better than we expected! Here’s how it all went for Team MadeBrave®…
The Starting Line – Glasgow Green | 7:30am
We started the day with a mahooosive bowl of porridge, a few lunges and a cuppa, then headed to Glasgow Green bright and early to soak up the sunshine, pose for a photo and even partake in a bit of celebrity schmoozing (HIYA Mark Beaumont!)

On The Go (and the stops!)
See how they’ve always talked about this mysterious thing called an Indian summer, we think it happened on Sunday! What an amazing day, we even got a bit of a tan (please don’t laugh at our white bits!) The route was a wee bit challenging (lets not get started on those hills) but luckily there were plenty of stops along the way with lots of food glorious food to keep our energy levels up (hello endless supply of bananas and Tunnocks treats!)

Blood, Sweat and Broken Gears
Now this is a saga and a half! Basically, while on route, the gears exploded on our Andrew’s bike. A nice man in an Irn Bru top called Alec put them back together (thank you kind sir!) but those pesky gears came off again! Luckily, the guys from Endura were driving by and came to Andrew’s rescue. They dropped him off a few miles away from Murrayfield and he walked to the finish line with his bike on his back like a true warrior – on yersel’ Dobster!
Oh no! @dobbieandrew‘s bike has broken! Tweet #MadeBraveChallenge to get ahead! http://t.co/E0TcWz4QFw #PFS2015 pic.twitter.com/6e0Sfz3cL4 — MadeBrave® (@MadeBrave) September 6, 2015

The Big Finish
You can spot those teal bikes a mile away, so when the rest of Team MadeBrave® passed the finish line, you betcha’ bicycle we were there to take a shot!
The After Party
After all that cycling, it was time to party, so we hosted a VIP event alongside our pals from Pedal for Scotland! We had goodie bags (big shout out to the guys at Bounce, SmartTec and Little Miracles) a Look Look gif booth (check out the full gallery) and prizes for the biggest team there, who had a grand total of 33 – wowza!
