How we created six months worth of social media content for Savanna Cider in just two days.

Savanna Premium Cider was first launched by Distell International in 1996. Sold in over 40 countries, Savanna is South Africa’s leading cider export and the third-largest cider brand in the world.

The Brief

A social-first brand, Savanna needed a bank of content for the next six months to be used for social media, PR initiatives, product pages, and other digital products (like online product listings and display).

Working with their team, we arranged to maximise their budget by organising a ‘content grab’, essentially get as much content from one shoot as possible.

Photography & Video

The shoot was themed around ‘lifestyle’, which helped act as a guide for the creation of a shoot list so everyone knew on the day what needed to be captured. With this list signed off by the client, we set to work.

Over two days we travelled between three different locations capturing still photography images and video. We focused on five different aspects of the central theme, including the bottle in situ, the perfect serve, with food, with fruit, drinkers enjoying themselves and, drinkers toasting.

Social Media & Copywriting

All of these visuals were edited and cropped for social before being added into their social content calendar with copywriting to boot. A two day shoot for six months of content? That’s enough to raise more than a dry smile from anyone!
